Eleven of us got together for lunch to explore the challenges of eating out on Weight Watchers.
Challenges? Not too many when going to Island Crust Cafe!

Cafe co-owner, Richard Benjamin, ordered the Ratatouille with brown rice with added cheese, for a mere 7 PointsPlus values! It looked amazing. Everyone was delighted at the delicious choices they were able to enjoy; our various meals were easily under 10 PPVs.

We got to know each other a little better and also got to savor some great food- knowing the PointsPlus values of every item ordered. (Richard now keeps a PointsPlus value cheat sheet at the restaurant for those interested in savvy ordering while staying on program.)

Weight Watchers is all about learning to lose and keep the weight off for LIFE. Eating out is part of LIFE. The way you lose the weight should be enjoyable- because it is the same way you are going to maintain your weight loss.

Enjoy the weight loss journey. Yes, it is a journey- but with the right TOOLS, the right FRIENDS, the right ATTITUDE, and a "safe" restaurant or two, you can go where you want to go and be who you want to be. Just do it.

Update Island Crust Cafe: Now the PointsPlus Values are printed ON the menu to help you make your choices. These are not officially endorsed by the WWers Corporate office. Richard and I did the best we could to come up with the PPVs for his offerings.
