Walking the Dog!

We talked about the 5 Myths of EXERCISE at yesterday's meeting. When I asked how many people had exercised BEFORE coming to the meeting, I was delighted at how many people raised their hands. Our weigh-in time is 9:30am to 10am, with the meeting starting promptly at 10am. More than half our members had already walked the dog before they come to the meeting. Others set out to do some exercise before the meeting and some had plans to exercise right after the meeting.
Do you have to exercise to lose weight while on WW? Actually, no! You can still lose weight just by dieting. Sometimes you don't feel like "moving more" until you do lose some initial weight. That's okay! As your body size decreases, you feel like you want to move it more.
And don't you love that question, what weighs more- fat or muscle? Hey, they weigh the same! One pound of fat weighs the same as one pound of muscle; it is just that muscle takes up less room and you look trimmer!
The experts in the weight loss field recommend moving an hour a day to maintain your goal weight. Sounds like too much? I don't do an hour a day of exercise and I still maintain my weight....I probably just eat less than those who exercise more.
