"Opportunity is often missed because it comes dressed in overalls and look like
hard work!" ~ unknown author
Do you remember when you first started Weight Watchers? Do you remember that feeling of excitement, of control ... the feeling that comes with making a decision to do something about a problem that has been plaguing you? Do you remember how focused you felt those first few weeks?
Do you remember that feeling of accomplishment after following the Program and having that accomplishment show up on the scale the following week? Do you remember the novelty that came with learning about the Program and with following the steps that moved you toward a healthier lifestyle?
I know these are busy times and that the summer is full of excuses and better things to do. And ... How is that working for you?
I know that many of you have been working this program for a while ... and as the novelty has worn off, so has your commitment to following the Program. And ... How is that working for you?
I know that many of you are hoping that just showing up is all the follow through you need to have in order to reach your weight loss goals. So ... How is that working for you?
Back to the Basics. Sometimes we just need to go back to the beginning and remind ourselves of all the pieces of the puzzle. Then we need to step up and make the effort at putting the pieces together. We can only get by for so long with holes in our plan ... at some point we must fill in the gaps in order to make the picture complete.
What does Back to the Basics mean? It means setting yourself up for success, planning your meals, preparing for the tough times and the unexpected.
Back to Basics means taking time each day for you ... and making purposeful exercise a priority in your everyday life. It also means making the time each week to get feedback on your progress and surrounding yourself in the support of others who are journeying with you.
Going Back to Basics is, in a nutshell, that higher level of consciousness to familiarize, or re-familiarize, yourself with the basics of the Momentum Program and then taking that knowledge and making a concerted effort to follow the Program, as carefully as possible. So keep in mind our affirmation for this week: I can and will work the Program and the Program can and will work for me!
There are truly great things in store for you ... but you must be willing to do what is required. Anything less ... well, that probably won't work.I love the above quote- yes, opportunity so often gets missed because it comes dressed in overalls (not impressive) and looks like hard work (not exciting). But YOU can make it impressive and exciting. The end result is so worth it.
I can and will work the Program and the Program can and will work for me!
