I sent out my Take Five newsletter this morning, as I have on most Sunday mornings since I've been a leader. It seems I never have enough time in our Weight Watchers meeting to share all the things I'd like to say.
If you are not on my mailing list, and would like a weekly shot in the arm to help keep you on program, send me an email. I'd be happy to add you to my list. Just yesterday someone told me that they resisted the half price Halloween candy because of my newsletter advice about Halloween Jitters! My advice was that the bargain candy may not be a bargain after all. It really feels good to get feedback like that.
One of the things that makes Weight Watchers work is coming to the meetings. Many of you read my weekly newsletter and gets SOME information from it....but ATTENDING weekly meetings shows a commitment to really doing something about your weight! Almost all of our members are in it for the long haul.
It is a JOURNEY, the whole trip of trying to lose weight and change habits for good. But countless people have completed the trail to goal and continually stay motivated to live at goal. Many of us have lost weight only to gain it back. Weight Watchers provides the answer to living the healthy lifestyle.
Are you ready to feel better, sleep better, look better? Get yourself to a meeting. Get ready to change your life and WELCOME it. Think positive. Act positive. Do it for YOU! If you don't take care of your body- who will?
I heard a rabbi on a Torah Tape the other day. He shared an insight as to why a 75 year old radio show got taken off the air. He said the advertisers thought that the listening audience, those over 50 years old, don't change. Why try and sell them things?, thought the advertisers. The rabbi said, "I was insulted! I change!" He gave many examples of how he continually changed, including trying a new dandruff shampoo.
I thought this fit the paradigm of our members. People have to be willing to change to be successful on Weight Watchers. You have to be brave- willing to try the unknown. Willing to leave your comfort zone and create a new level of comfort.
You can do it: we can help. See you AT the meeting.
